Construction & Materials
Every Dropzone Pit — same spec, every build
Exterior Casing
UV-resistant marine-grade vinyl — the same material used in commercial outdoor applications. Resists fading, cracking, and UV degradation for 10+ years in outdoor conditions. Not polyester. Vinyl.
Foam Core
High-density polyurethane foam with cross-section construction that allows air displacement on landing and prevents compression set over time. Not single-block solid foam.
Top Landing Pad
Separate 2" foam top pad takes the spike and impact abuse so the core foam is protected. Reversible for even wear distribution. Extends the life of the base unit by 2–4 years.
Stitching
Double-stitched seams throughout using heavy-duty bonded nylon thread — significantly stronger than standard industry thread. Every seam is folded before stitching for reinforcement.
Zippers
Marine-grade nylon zippers that won't corrode in outdoor conditions. Standard metal zippers corrode and seize after 2–3 seasons. Our zippers are warranted for the life of the pit.
Connection System
Velcro modular system locks all base sections together as an integrated unit. No gaps between sections during landing. Carabiner side attachments secure the top pad without obstruction.
